microphone, it's positioning when recording an instrument is an
indispensable step toward a
good recording. The
beautiful
sound of voice, an acoustic guitar or drums can sound unnatural, if
they are badly miked. Similarly, the improper use of effects during the
recording can make the material unusable for the mixing session. Shame, if it just was the best
take! That's why I prefer to
invest a
little more time for the soundcheck.

step before making a new album. The songs will be rehearsed and arranged,
and then I will prepare pilot tracks. A solid pre-production spares
many unpleasant situations during the actual studio recording. I believe that every single
stage of the production is equaly important. I
like to invest the time to individually coach artists in order to bring
the best out of them.
